Essentials: opium D & D people?

who has read more than a D & D4 post by me will know that I share with D & D4 a love-hate. And I am not one of the players behind mourn the old D & D3.x days, but on a real improvement in D & D4 wishes, from the abstract meta-game with their "Cool Powerz - Story building blocks" to make another RPG, with the one can empathize with his character into a game world.

Great expectations for the D & D4 Essentials beginner boxes, which are now published a while ago, I have still not set. Among the promises were transparent, with which one the old guard, mostly D & D3.5 players wanted to silence them. It is dedicated to the stagnation and resignation, rather than develop its innovative approach further. As not infrequently, the customer's hand brake of the development.

What with old OD & D, D & D3.95, or whatever you want to call it have to do to me is but a mystery (Select 2 Spell Powers per level-up, prepare it spells) because the "old" D & D4 Foreseen way is of course the regular D & D 3.5.
So why the change now? I think you bowing to pressure from the screaming diehards, especially Mage players in front of the blind rage of the "normal" D & D elements in D & D4 can not recognize. This can be read out from the interview with Mike Mearls in Escapist Magazine .

Now there is the inflexible Altspielern so any changes "to the changes because" and then have to be obviously good because it goes so of D & D4 (Even if it is improved even further by "Ol'D & D" from here). It could, of course, be different: Wizards of the Coast is developing its D & D4 consistent nor continued by D & D, and the abandoned fans cheer anyway and get some back in his arms (I have so far not really bad reviews for the Essentials read). This can then probably be described as genius.

The real thick Klöpse and worthy of criticism, but elements that make a normal game from the perspective of character as much as possible (eg all the mundane Martial Powers) is allowed but the way they are. For if these elements of the switch design rules REALLY work.

And of course nobody wants to do. And why, if you can distract the player base so easily lost, as painted with a red box?

But what about those who have remained loyal? The D & D have not chucked umwürfen because of a few design and now make outrageous claims and extortion due to old days ("Do the same again, or we're gone"). Their new game in their support for D & D4 Inception1 despite the weaknesses, and it will now also be fair, consistently developed and want to see improved? (The rule updates do not count, which is none other than Troubleshooting.)
What we have with the essentials is the same as before, only different. No Vorrankommen. And with a little quieter 3.5 players, the D & D4 is not anyway to play. The class goal seems to reach, one might think.

Man still at odds with how we can provide the lost fans with as little effort and can be quiet all the players here in the rain and the D & D4 does not, of course, continue as a whole.
