Preparations for Costa Rica and visit with Steve Maxwell open despite work pressures in full swing! We train like crazy to be ready half way - of course it drives you if you have one goal in mind. Focus is on metabolic work (the circle of Steve knows it and are afraid that you can confirm I think the seminar attendees of last summer) and specific grip strength training (for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). Yesterday on my day a maximum force unit was with "heavy artillery". But there's more. For there is something that at least as good if not superior to conventional training is - hard physical work!
After the morning training with, among other things a nice practice variation, which I will soon present to talk (even a lat pull-down device can be useful, yes :-)), it was said as the afternoon continues. But this time with something unusual. Woodwork in the steep terrain and for 'old way of working ", ie without a lot of technical aids. We have here the father of a training comrades helped. Is fun and useful. Some may point to the bird and laugh at the unnecessary-making is more difficult, but I think not so wrong! I like to wear heavy things around, it strengthens the body and a huge tree trunk is a completely different tool such as a dumbbell. Even a stone or sandbags changes the feel-good behavior when lifting pretty. But that is neither a new thing!

The proves true in my experiences with farmers. One of my neighbors came to visit me in the summer during the seminar, Maxwell, and climbed up the rope in front of us all without any problems. The man is almost 60 and has seen in his life has never been a weight room inside. But he keeps fit by working - was impressive to see! One of my friends is also Bauer, an edgy, fast strong guy, strength and endurance has no end! My grandfather has often shouldered two 50-kilo sacks of grain at the same time and carried to the trailer!
I have two years ago, also on a mountain farm mitgewerkt voluntarily take a summer vacation on the beach and sent packed hard. But I swear, then I was back a bit fitter and more robust - not a second was an error in all drudgery that was there to make some more because of the difficulty of the terrain and the lack of technical aids!
